The evolution is coming in the form of the International Bowls Corporation.
Graham Carley and Chris Aitken are two bowlers who think bowls needs ‘a breath of fresh air’, and they’re ready to deliver just that!
Stepping away from ‘Traditional’ bowls the pair plan to introduce shorter games, eliminate dress codes and get spectators involved.
The first IBC event will be the ‘IBC UK Open’. A tournament open to everyone with five qualifying events across the UK leading to the final at Desborough (Northamptonshire) Outdoor Bowling Club on the 29th July 2018.

The International Bowls Corporation will stream all games live on social media, and look forward to receiving feedback from bowlers – ‘… we want to talk to bowlers, so many have some excellent ideas and concepts to help keep our game moving forward but don’t get heard… the IBC are all ears bowlers.’
